What is Project: Won for Won™?

Won for Won™ is an initiative to help grassroots and amateur rugby union communities across the country. The project is designed to alleviate some running costs of amateur clubs by providing rugby training equipment, allowing clubs to invest their money elsewhere to help grow the game. More information can be found HERE

How does Project: Won for Won™ work?

For every rugby ball sold, we match each purchase and donate another ball directly to clubs across the country that need our help. We focus on clubs who have difficulty raising funding or play with old, not-fit-for-purpose balls and equipment.

Do you partner with charities?

W RUGBY partners with the world’s leading rugby charity SOS Kit Aid. SOS Kit Aid are a charity supported by World Rugby who help us access developing nations to donate our rugby balls.

I’ve purchased a ball. Where does it actually go?

Rugby clubs sign up to Project: Won for Won™ and we work down through the list. We also do our own scouting to see if clubs can afford fit for purpose rugby balls. When you buy a ball, you can nominate a club at checkout and we do our best to make sure a ball ends up there.

Lastly, we work with leading rugby charities who distribute our donated balls to developing nations.

Which clubs qualify for Project: Won for Won™?

Any non-professional rugby union club in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, United Kingdom and United States qualifies to take part in the initiative. To register your club, click HERE. Other countries may also qualify through our charities and partners. If your club is not from these countries, please be patient; as we continue to grow, we will add new countries to the list!

Can I pick where the second ball is donated?

Of course, at checkout you have the option to nominate a club close to your heart. We will do our best to get in touch and set them up to Project: Won for Won™.

How much does it cost to sign up?

It’s completely free to register your club to be placed on our list. To register your club, click HERE and we’ll be in touch.

Do you only support men’s rugby?

Absolutely not. We are leaders in inclusivity and believe rugby is for EVERY player. Whilst the scheme is open to all, we will in some cases try to prioritise women’s, juniors, indigenous communities and teams with disabilities.

I’m a parent, can I register on behalf of my child’s club?

Of course - after all, you’re a part of your child’s club. Just register with a few club details and we’ll help with the rest. To register, click HERE.

Can I become a W RUGBY ambassador?

We are always hunting new ambassadors and affiliates. Visit the ambassador and sponsorship pages HERE.
